OUR APPROACH

OUR APPROACH

With eight global offices, Wilson is able to oversee and manage all stages of production, ensuring all customer requirements including quality and timescale are met to a high standard. It also allows us to work closely with the factories that we use, ensuring ethical standards and regulations are met.

Quality Assurance
Wilson has a team of highly experienced product technologists with experience across the clothing, footwear and accessories field.  Our team follow British Standard guidelines and relevant legislation, for all products and testing. We also employ highly experienced QC staff at our satellite offices.  Our QC teams allow us to offer both an in-house QC service to customers, as well as work efficiently with customers who have their own QC set up.

Product Development
We have an extensive size specification and patterns library, which is constantly updated. The team work closely with design and merchandising at every stage of the critical path to ensure deliveries are kept on schedule.

Testing
Product testing is carried out by globally accredited laboratories such as Intertek, SGS and Bureau Veritas.

Inspection
Orders are inspected by our satellite office QA staff before dispatch. Goods are inspected in accordance with BS6001 guidelines and we can carry out various levels of AQL inspections to suit individual customers’ needs.

Ethical Trading
The Wilson Group are proud to operate a comprehensive ethical trading and manufacturing policy. We make every effort to exclude child labor and make sure our partners in manufacture provide safe working conditions and fair reward for employees. We encourage our factories to audit and achieve certification for ethical practice with social compliance bodies such as WRAP, BSCI, Sedex etc. We endeavor to use factories who work within the ETI Base Code (Ethical Trading Initiative) which includes the following principles:

  • Prohibition of forced labour
  • Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining
  • Safe and hygienic working conditions
  • No Child Labour
  • Wages and Benefits
  • Houses of Work
  • Prohibition of Discrimination
  • Regular Employment
  • Prohibition of Harassment or Abuse
